This past Saturday was one of those days that reminds me exactly why I love what I do. The weather could not have been more perfect. Clear skies, soft light, and just enough warmth to make everything feel effortless. And somehow, I had the honor of photographing not one, but two incredibly meaningful proposals, each completely unique and equally unforgettable.

The day began at Pellegrini Vineyards with Keith and Maeve. If you’ve ever been there, you know how naturally beautiful the property is: endless vines, open skies, and that quiet, romantic energy that makes it the perfect setting for a moment like this. What made it even more special was the behind the scenes coordination. Rich, the vineyard manager, played such a huge role in helping bring everything together seamlessly. From timing to location, every detail was thoughtfully handled, which allowed Keith to stay fully present in the moment.

And when the moment came, it was perfect. Maeve’s reaction said everything. Right after the proposal, the celebration only grew as their families emerged to surprise them. That shift, from intimate to celebratory, is always one of my favorite parts to document. The emotion, the hugs, the disbelief, the joy. It all unfolds so naturally.

Later in the day, I headed to Water Mill for Matt and Karli’s proposal, and it couldn’t have been more different in the best way. This one took place at Karli’s childhood home, right on the water. There’s something incredibly meaningful about being proposed to in a place that already holds so many memories. It adds a layer of depth that you can feel in every photo.

The setup was beautiful, thoughtful, personal, and perfectly placed against the backdrop of the water. And of course, their high energy puppy Palmer made it even more memorable. He brought such a fun, real energy to the moment that felt so true to them as a couple.

Just like earlier in the day, the celebration continued as their families joined in right after. Two completely different settings, but the same overwhelming feeling: love, excitement, and the beginning of something big.

Photographing proposals is always special, but being trusted with two in one day, each with so much intention and meaning, felt like something rare. It’s a reminder that no matter how many times I witness it, that moment of “yes” never loses its magic.
