For most of the year, you’ll find me photographing couples and families along the beaches and beautiful locations of Long Island. It’s home, and it will always hold a special place in my heart. But every so often, my work takes me somewhere new. A different coastline, a new town, or a place that means something deeply personal to the people in front of my camera. That’s the magic of destination photography.

Destination sessions aren’t just about the location. They’re about the experience.

When couples choose a meaningful place for their photos, everything feels a little more relaxed and natural. Maybe it’s where you got engaged, a place you love to travel together, or somewhere that simply inspires you. Being in a setting that already holds memories creates an energy that you can feel in the photographs.

Travel also allows for a different kind of creativity. Every place has its own light, colors, and textures. From quiet beaches to vibrant towns, the environment becomes part of the story. It adds depth and personality in a way that can’t be recreated anywhere else.

One of the things I love most about destination photography is that it turns a photo session into a full experience. Instead of squeezing photos into a busy day, it becomes something you plan around. You explore, you slow down, and you enjoy the moment together. Often the best photos happen in between walking down a street, watching the sunset, or laughing about getting a little sandy or windswept.

While Long Island will always be where most of my sessions take place, I’m always excited when my camera gets to travel. Photographing couples in places that are meaningful to them is incredibly special, and it allows me to document stories in a way that feels authentic and unique every time.

Whether it’s a beach town you love visiting, a place you’re traveling to for the first time, or somewhere across the world that feels like home, destination photography creates space for something truly memorable.

Because sometimes the best stories are told when you step outside of the familiar.

If you’re dreaming about a destination session, near or far, I’d love to be part of it. Your story deserves to be captured wherever it unfolds.
