Some engagement sessions don’t go exactly as planned and sometimes, the rescheduled version ends up being even better than you could have imagined.
I first became part of Christine & Luke’s story last year when my associate, Stephanie, photographed their proposal. Fast forward to this year, and they officially became an Amy Leigh Photography couple when they hired us to photograph their wedding this October. Needless to say, I’m so excited to be part of another chapter of their story!
Their original engagement session, however, had other plans.
We had rain roll in and ended up taking shelter at Sand City Brewery. We managed to squeeze in literally two photos before deciding that Mother Nature had officially won that round.
So we rescheduled and I think it’s safe to say that was the best decision we could have made.
When we finally got together for their engagement session, the weather completely redeemed itself. The sky was absolutely unreal, creating the most incredible backdrop for their photos. The kind of sky that makes you stop and think, Okay, THIS is why we waited.
Christine & Luke were so much fun to photograph. Their session felt natural, relaxed, and full of the little moments that make engagement photos feel like them. The laughs, the cuddles, the quiet moments, and all of the excitement that comes with being engaged.
And after photographing their proposal last year, it was especially meaningful to see them again and capture this next part of their journey.
Now we’re just counting down the days until October, when I get to photograph their wedding day! After their proposal, their engagement session, and all the excitement leading up to it, I already know their wedding is going to be one to remember.
